Trump tells Israel not to drop more bombs on Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump told Israel on Tuesday "do not drop those bombs" on Iran, saying that this would be a "major violation" of the ceasefire.
"ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO, IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!" Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform.
Israel said on Tuesday it had identified missiles from Iran, shortly after the Israeli authorities said they had accepted a ceasefire proposed by Trump.
Iran's death toll from Israeli attacks surpasses 600: ministry
The death toll from Israeli strikes across Iran over the past 12 days has reached 606, with 5,332 others injured, Iran's Health Minister Mohammad-Reza Zafarghandi said on Tuesday.
Zafarghandi described the past 24 hours as witnessing the "most horrific attacks and aggressions" by Israel since the start of the aerial conflict on June 13, resulting in 104 deaths and 1,342 injuries.
China calls for genuine ceasefire, de-escalation in Middle East: FM
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday that China supports Iran's efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and security, and on that basis, achieve a genuine ceasefire, restore normal life for the people, and help de-escalate the situation in the Middle East as soon as possible.
During his phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China is willing to promote the UN Security Council in fulfilling its due role and primary responsibility of safeguarding international peace and security.
NATO pushes 5 pct defense spending goal as summit opens in The Hague
NATO's annual summit opened Tuesday in The Hague under tight security, with leaders of member states expected to approve a proposed defense spending target of 5 percent of GDP.
The two-day gathering comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, following a U.S. airstrike on Iran's nuclear facilities. The Dutch government deployed a multi-layered defense system, including F-35 fighter jets and Patriot missile systems, turning the summit venue into a fortified zone.

French President Emmanuel Macron concluded a two-day state visit to Norway on Tuesday, where he and Norwegian leaders emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation in defense and security amid a shifting European geopolitical landscape.
Macron's visit - the first state visit by a French president to Norway since 1984 - included meetings with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, King Harald V, and other senior officials. The agenda spanned European security, defense industry collaboration, and broader political cooperation.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said people continued to be killed or injured in the Gaza conflict, including reports of people coming under fire near non-UN militarized aid distribution sites or on routes designated by the Israeli authorities for the world body to collect relief trucks carrying aid.
