Stockholm handed over its entire stock of infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine last May
Drone operators from Russia's Rosgvardiya (National Guard) have destroyed a Swedish-made infantry fighting vehicle operated by the Ukrainian military in Sumy Region, close to the Russian border. Kiev's forces have recently stepped up attempts to breach into Russian territory.
A short video clip depicting the strike has been published on Rosgvardiya's Telegram channel.
Last May, the government in Stockholm announced that it was "donating the entire Swedish stock of Pansarbandvagn 302 (Pbv 302) vehicles to support the formation of new Ukrainian army brigades."
As part of a major arms package, the Scandinavian country donated not only the vehicles, but also spare parts, maintenance equipment and ammunition for them.
Developed back in the 1960s, the Pbv 302 was in service with the Swedish military until 2014.

Following the donation of the hardware, various media outlets estimated that Kiev had received anywhere between 180 and 300 infantry fighting vehicles from Sweden.
Russia has repeatedly condemned Western arms deliveries to Ukraine, arguing that they do not alter the overall trajectory of the conflict but only prolong the bloodshed. Moscow has also warned that growing Western involvement in the fighting risks triggering a full-scale military confrontation between Russia and NATO.
